Welcome to "On Campus at UNT" the podcast keeping you in the know of all of the best that UNT has to offer!

Denton, Texas is known as one of the best college towns in the nation with its active arts, music scene and countless festivals, and UNT serves as the incubator of creativity. UNT boasts one of the greatest music colleges in the nation, but the innovation is not just limited to music. Students and alumni bring the spirit of entrepreneurship and fresh ideas to local activities and businesses, often in Denton’s downtown historic square. Here’s a round-up of activities that help make UNT and Denton such a vibrant community:


A Night under the Stars:

Space activities, star talks, raffle, food, and live music by 7Feathers

The Seige of Numantia:


The University of North Texas will present The Siege of Numantia (El Cerco de Numantia), a play by Miguel de Cervantes that focuses on a Spanish village when it is taken over by Romans in 133 B.C. It runs 7:30 p.m. Nov. 10-12; and at 2 p.m. Nov. 13. Visit danceandtheatre.unt.edu for more information.

 

Baroque Orchestra and Collegium Singers:

Cost: $10 for adults and

New Choreographers Concert:

 

The original dance works created by advanced choreography students at the University of North Texas will be presented at the New Choreographers Concert 8 p.m. Dec. 2 & 3 and 2 p.m. Dec. 4. Visit danceandtheatre.unt.edu for more information.

 

Mean Green Women’s Sports:

 

The women’s basketball team plays Texas Woman’s University at 4 p.m. Nov. 6 at UNT’s Super Pit.
